In this chapter, we will walk through the step-by-step procedure for creating a menu in Joomla. Menus are an important part and help you navigate your site easily.
Create menu
Here are some simple steps to create a menu in Joomla.
Step 1 − Click Menu → Menu Manager → Add New Menu as shown below.
Step 2 − After clicking the Add New Menu button, the Menu Manager - Add Menu page will open as shown below. Here we can add the menu title (name), type and description as shown.

Menu name (Name) - should indicate the name (name) of the menu.

Menu type - the name of the menu type.

Description - Description about the menu.

Step 3 − After filling in all the information about the menu, click on the Save button . Saves the menu bar you created.
Step 4 − We can also click on the Save and Close button . Saves the menu bar and then closes the current screen. Finally, you will get the following screen as shown below.
On this page, you can view the title of the menu you created in the previous step.
Step 5 − When we click the Save and Create button, your menu is saved and a new menu creation screen opens as shown below.
Step 6 − Using the Cancel button , cancels the menu creation action.
